Time-window examples
Same-day fulfillment window
- Condition: Is within time window from the warehouse opening time to its same-day cutoff.
- Timezone: the warehouse's operating timezone.
- Result: use a short editing deadline or block editing for matching express orders.
Outside business hours
- Condition: Is outside of time window between warehouse opening and closing.
- Timezone: the warehouse's operating timezone.
- Result: extend editing until the next staffed cutoff.
The start must be before the end. An outside window cannot cover the full day. Model weekend or overnight behaviour with valid windows and, where needed, separate rules.
Weekend orders
Match Friday evening, Saturday, and Sunday using the available weekday and time conditions, then use a Monday cutoff in the correct timezone. Test the boundary immediately before and after each cutoff.

Validation checklist
- Confirm the rule phase has the data used by each condition.
- Use All when every condition must be true and Any when one is enough.
- Confirm every time window has a timezone, a start before its end, and a non-empty outside period.
- Test one order that should match and one that should not.
- Check overlapping active rules because the shortest calculated deadline becomes primary.
