The AthosCommerce (Searchspring) Recommendations module shows products from Searchspring. It can use configured recommendation profiles or trending products.
When to use it
Use this module when Searchspring is already part of your merchandising stack.
- You want upsell products from Searchspring recommendation profiles.
- You want to show trending products from Searchspring.
- You want recommendations to follow the same merchandising logic used elsewhere in your store.
Before you begin
Connect the AthosCommerce (Searchspring) integration in Order Editing. You need a configured Site ID. If you want to use recommendation profiles, add profile tags in the integration settings.
Setup steps
- Open the upsell strategy you want to edit.
- In the Product modules section, click Add Module.
- Select AthosCommerce (Searchspring).
- Choose the data source: Recommendation profiles or Trending products.
- If you choose Recommendation profiles, select a profile tag.
- Review the preview products for the selected profile.
- Optional: open Advanced settings and set Maximum Products. Use a value from 1 to 20.
- Write Offer Text.
- Click Save.

Choosing profiles or trending products
Use Recommendation profiles when you want a specific Searchspring strategy. This is best for campaigns, category logic, or curated merchandising rules.
Use Trending products when you want a simple, broad product source from Searchspring without choosing a profile tag.
Recommended fallback
Add a Collection module after AthosCommerce (Searchspring). This keeps the strategy useful if a profile tag returns no products.
Troubleshooting
Credentials missing appears
Complete the AthosCommerce (Searchspring) integration setup and add the Site ID.
No products found for this profile
Choose a different profile tag, or update the profile in Searchspring so it returns products.
No profile tags are available
Add profile tags in the AthosCommerce (Searchspring) integration settings before using the recommendation profiles data source.
