The Single Product module shows one specific product in an upsell strategy. Use it when you know exactly which product you want customers to see.
When to use it
Use Single Product for focused offers where the product choice should not change automatically.
- A universal add-on, such as gift wrap, warranty, insurance, or care instructions.
- A high-margin product you want to promote across many orders.
- A campaign product with specific creative or offer copy.
- A replacement, refill, or accessory targeted with strategy filters.
Before you begin
Make sure the product is active, available in the online store, and not excluded by Hidden Products. If the product has variants, decide whether all variants should appear or only selected variants.
Warning: If the selected product or every selected variant is hidden, sold out, or unavailable online, customers won't see the offer.

Where this module is strongest
Single Product is strongest when the product is easy to understand without comparison. It works well for warranties, gift wrap, accessories, samples, limited drops, and high-margin add-ons.
It is weaker when the right recommendation depends on what the customer bought. In that case, use Complementary Products, Related Products, Metafields, or a filtered strategy.
How to make the offer feel relevant
Use strategy filters to control who sees the product. For example, offer shoe care only when the order contains footwear, or offer a refill only when the order contains the matching product line.
If the product has variants, restrict the module to variants that make sense for the offer. Highlight the safest default variant so the customer doesn't need to decide from scratch.
Troubleshooting
The product doesn't appear
Check that the product is active, published to the online store, and not hidden by your Hidden Products query. Also check that selected variants are available.
The wrong variant is selected
Open the module, go to Product Variants, and choose the highlighted variant. If no variant is highlighted, Order Editing uses the first eligible variant.
The customer can't change quantity
On Checkout Page and Free Shipping Upsell placements, open quantity settings and enable Show quantity selector. On other placements, make sure Hide quantity selector is not enabled.
