Before you begin
- Open Apps > Order Editing > Upsells > Content blocks.
- Know the goal you want to communicate (for example, free shipping threshold messaging).
- Normal strategies show this block with product offers by default. Enable If there are no products, continue to show the content block for a supported offer-list block, or lock a content-block-only strategy to a Checkout Editor app block by strategy ID.
Why this template helps
Use Progress bar when a visual goal makes the next add-on feel worthwhile. A filled bar plus a right-aligned caption nudges shoppers toward free shipping, gift tiers, or other milestones. Pair it with free shipping or cart-gap offers so the bar matches the products you recommend.
Create the block
- Select Create content block.
- Choose the Progress bar template.
- Confirm or edit the internal Name.
- Set Progress from 0–100% to control how full the bar appears.
- Edit the Caption shown under the bar.
- Optionally set an Accessibility label for screen readers (defaults to the caption when empty).
- Set Tone to Default, or Critical when you need a red urgent style.
- Set Status to Active when customers should see it, or keep Draft while you edit.
- Set Display on to All Devices, Mobile, or Desktop.
- Save the block.
Progress is a fixed percentage you set in the block. Update it when your campaign messaging changes. It does not calculate live cart totals by itself.
Add it to a strategy
- Open an upsell strategy that supports the goal in the caption.
- Place the progress bar above the product offers so the goal leads into the recommended products.
- Save the strategy.
Preview the offer
- Open the strategy preview and confirm the fill level and caption match the offer story.
- Check readability on narrow layouts.
- Review the checkout editor preview for the target placement when needed.
