The two platforms can run simultaneously, with Nosto handling pre-purchase recommendations and Order Editing handling post-checkout changes and upsells.
How Order Editing works with Nosto
Nosto and Order Editing operate at different stages of the customer journey:
- Nosto personalises the browsing and shopping experience, showing relevant products before and during checkout
- Order Editing provides post-checkout editing and upsell offers on the Thank You page and Order Status page
Nosto's product recommendations can inform your Order Editing upsell strategy. If Nosto identifies strong product affinities (products frequently bought together), you can use those insights to configure Order Editing's upsell offers.

- Enable Nosto in Order Editing. In Order Editing, go to Settings > Integrations and enable Nosto.

Troubleshooting
Recommendations aren't showing
First, confirm that Nosto is connected and active on your store and that its recommendation placements are enabled. If you're expecting recommendations tied to a recent order change, make sure the order edit completed before the order was fulfilled, since edits made after fulfilment won't be reflected. If recommendations still don't appear, contact Order Editing support.
The same products appear in both apps
Nosto and Order Editing each have their own recommendation logic, so they can occasionally surface the same products. Review your Order Editing upsell offers and adjust them so they complement, rather than repeat, what Nosto shows during browsing and checkout.
