Let customers browse and add products to their order post-purchase. Control which products appear using filters for specific products, names, tags, and product types.

Product Catalog

Product Catalog allows customers to browse product recommendations and add new items to their order after purchase. This gives customers the flexibility to find and add products they may have forgotten or didn't initially consider, turning every order edit into a potential upsell opportunity.

Global Upsell Settings

These are global settings that affect your customers' ability to purchase more products.

Allow customers to purchase more products

The master toggle for this block. When enabled, customers can view product recommendations for their order post-purchase and add new items. This must be turned on for any of the filters below to take effect.

💡 Tip: This is a key revenue driver. Customers browsing your catalog during the editing window are already in a buying mindset, making them much more likely to add items to their order.


Search Query

Control exactly which products customers see when browsing your catalog during the editing window. By default, customers can browse your full product catalog. Use the filters below to narrow down what's shown.

Use filters to curate exactly which products appear in the catalog. You can combine multiple filters to create a highly targeted product selection.

What It Does

Select specific products

Hand-pick individual products to include in the catalog. Click "Select products" to browse and choose exactly which items customers can see. Best when you want complete control over the product selection.

Show Products with Names

Filter by product name or title. Type a product name and press Enter to add it. Useful for surfacing specific product lines or branded items (e.g. "Summer Collection", "Pro Series").

Show Products with Tags

Filter products by their Shopify tags. Search and select tags to only show products that match. Great for curating by category, season, or any tagging system you already use in Shopify (e.g. "bestseller", "new-arrival", "gift-set").

Show Products of Types

Filter by product type category from Shopify. Search and select product types to only show matching items (e.g. "T-Shirts", "Accessories", "Supplements").

✅ Examples:

• A skincare brand uses the Tags filter with "bestseller" to only show their top-performing products as upsell options.

• A supplements store uses the Product Types filter set to "Bundles" to encourage customers to upgrade to bundle packs.

• A fashion retailer uses Select specific products to hand-pick 10 high-margin accessories that complement their clothing range.


Upsell Products

At the bottom of the page, you'll see the Upsell Products section which shows a preview of the products that will appear in the catalog based on your current filter settings. Use the country dropdown to preview how the catalog looks for customers in different markets.


Post-Purchase Discount

You can also configure a Post-Purchase Discount from this page. This lets you offer a discount on products customers add to their order during the editing window, giving them extra incentive to purchase more.


FAQ

What's the difference between the Product Catalog and the Primary Upsell?

The Product Catalog lets customers browse and search your store for products to add to their order. The Primary Upsell shows a curated carousel of recommended products. They work well together: the Primary Upsell grabs attention with top picks, while the Product Catalog gives customers the freedom to explore further.

Can I exclude specific products from appearing?

Yes. Use Hidden Products to exclude specific products from the catalog. Hidden products won't appear in upsell suggestions or catalog search results, but customers can still edit them if they're already in their order.

Can I combine multiple filters?

Yes. You can use any combination of the four filters (specific products, names, tags, and product types) to fine-tune exactly which products appear. For example, you could filter by the "Accessories" product type and the "bestseller" tag to only show your top-selling accessories.

Do I need this block enabled for upsells to work?

Not necessarily. The Primary Upsell can work independently by showing a curated product carousel. However, the Product Catalog gives customers a broader browsing experience. If you want customers to be able to search and discover products on their own, enable this block.

How does this interact with Shopify Markets?

The Upsell Products preview at the bottom of the page includes a country dropdown so you can check which products appear for customers in different markets. Products and pricing will respect your Shopify Markets configuration.
